Today was quite the windstorm here. Not as much as a few days ago but enough to make me very glad that we only received a skiff of snow. Just enough to cover the ground. Had it continued to snow with that wind it would have been a Wyoming blizzard in the truest sense. Such was not to be today. I snapped these two photos on June 7th, 2008. I love these old fashioned yellow roses. They are so beautiful and hardy. These tough babies survived having a skid loader run over them. There are no longer cattle in our pasture... time for them to go elsewhere... the rancher called me yesterday evening and said he was moving them to their fall pasture... This will give the pasture a bit of time to recover before the hard freezes set on ... if we get any rain. Either way the pasture is resting for autumn and winter...
